Vintner in a
village of Saone and Loire to the south of Beaune, Pierre Voarick
and his wife Louise acquired a reputation of hard work and good
wine making.
In 1924 the
administration of the Hospices de Beaune gave him the
responsibility of the famed
Corton Grand Cru, Cuvee Docteur Peste.
Pierre
and his wife, Louise, came to live with their family in the village
of Aloxe-Corton
His salary from the
Hospices de Beaune allowed him to buy his house with a plot of
Corton within the walls of his property. Some time later he
also purchased a parcel of land in Aloxe-Corton
