The Domaine

Domaine Michel Voarick is located in the heart of Burgundy in the village of ALOXE-CORTON just 5 km (3 miles) north of Beaune where every 3^rd Sunday in November takes place the famed Hospices De Beaune wine auction.

The first vineyards were most likely planted by the Romans around 200 B.C. It is indeed an ancient trade in the village…!

260 people live in the village and are all connected to the work and life of the vineyards. It is only in the last few years that names of streets are required to have your mail delivered!

The hill of Corton stands on its own and can be seen from miles away.

Domaine Michel Voarick stretches over 23 acres and owns parcels of vineyards in the villages of Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton with the prestigious appellations of Corton-Charlemagne grand-cru for the white plus Corton-Clos-du-Roi and Corton-Renardes for the reds. The Domaine makes an Aloxe-Corton village red and Pernand-Vergelesses village red and white.

Knowing that only 2% of the production of Burgundy wines come from the Grand-cru denomination, one can say the Domaine Michel Voarick is quite privileged.

How to Find Us
	From Autoroute (freeway) A6 take exit #24/1 twrds Beaune, Saint-Nicholas. Follow direction Dijon…You are now on route nationale (state road) 74. Go 2 km (1.4 miles) you will see the village of ALOXE-CORTON rise to your left, nestled at the foot of the celebrated HILL OF CORTON. From Beaune, go north on route natioanle (state road) 74 for 5km (3.2 miles) Take the first entrance to the village on your left. You are now entering a shaded (except in winter!) long, straight road. Fork slightly to the left then to the right and go up a steep road and here you are “Place du Chapitre” where the Domaine invites you thru its white gate….Welcome! *The entrance to the Domaine Michel Voarick*

PS. Since there is not always someone at the house it is recommended to go directly to the “Caveau Domaine Michel Voarick” (tasting cellar) that is located on the same plaza.
